Established in 2000, Hotels at Home was co-founded by Michael and Robin Ware. Along with partner Raymond Romano, the executive team at Hotels at Home represents over 60 years of diverse success and experience in the hospitality industry.
It is the mission of our executives to help you take your business to the next level. To that end, they each provide continuous oversight of all facets of Hotels at Home to ensure delivery of the highest standard of service to you and your guest-customers.
Michael J. Ware — Co-founder & President
Michael has over 25 years selling and marketing various products to the lodging and hospitality industry. In 1985, he founded
Essential Amenities, Inc., the first hotel amenities company in the country to provide retail services around branded hotel products.
In 1990, Inc. 500 Magazine acknowledged Essential Amenities, Inc. as the 165th fastest growing company in America. Previously,
Michael was Vice President of Sales for Twincraft, Inc. a soap manufacturer and distributor of amenities to hotels. He also served as
the regional and then the national sales manager for Hewitt Soap, a subsidiary of Procter and Gamble, where he pioneered the sales of
private label and custom packaged soap bars to the hotel industry. Michael holds a Master’s degree in public administration from
Long Island University.
Robin Ware — Co-founder & Vice President
Prior to her position with Hotels at Home, Robin was Vice President of Essential Amenities, Inc. since its founding in 1985. She received a
Bachelors degree and graduated summa cum laude from Long Island University, and received a Master’s degree in communications from Queens
College. An elected member of the Board of Education from 1988 to 2000, Robin served as president and financial chairperson. She also served
as chairperson for the non-profit Center for Women in New Jersey. Robin has been Vice President of Operations for Hotels at Home since
its inception.
Raymond J. Romano — Vice President of Strategic Planning and Finance
Raymond has 22 years experience marketing and selling to the lodging and hospitality industry. Prior to joining Hotels at Home, Raymond was the Senior
Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Solar Communications Group, Inc., an Internet portal company offering its product to hotels via in-room
personal computers. Prior to that, he served as Vice President and principal of Lodging Concepts, Inc. a hotel amenities company, and co-founded
Guest Supply, Inc., a $350,000,000 distributor of hotel amenities and related supplies, acting as the company’s Vice President. Raymond is a CPA and
holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from St. Peters College.
